Our Equestrian Farm Stay is a unique Bed and Breakfast experience with horses.
Are you seeking a peaceful and relaxing getaway close to the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills? Do you love the smell of leather, clean straw, horses and being in the country? Our Equestrian Farm Stay offers a unique experience in a barn studio equipped with modern comforts to ensure a sound sleep guaranteed! There is a catch, you will have a couple of curious four-legged neighbours to share with! Our resident horses, Utah, Muschi, Froggi and Storm. Utah is a retired Irish Sportshorse and was bred by the South Australian Mounted Police; however didn’t make the grade and he now lives a life of leisure. Muschi is our star performer and loves to teach children to ride in the safety of our arena. Storm is beautiful Thoroughbred and is related to the famous Secretariat, (one of the greatest race horses of all time!) although Storm didn’t manage to win a race! He is however a very good looking boy and loves to have his photo taken! Froggi is Froggi - he loves attention and is quite mischievous! Horse riding is available for guests by appointment and conditions apply
The property is situated in the foothills of the Mt Lofty ranges and the studio is rustic, clean and comfortable and will suit adventurous couples, single travellers and families with young children . The studio contains a Queen bed, leather sofa and small kitchenette with microwave oven and fridge (no indoor cooking facilities) as well as double bunk zone. The outdoor kitchen and dining area is great to relax and enjoy the peaceful tranquility and stunning sunsets with a glass of wine or a game to play with the family. The shower block is located within a short walk from the studio and has a washer/dryer for longer stays.
The location is ideal for exploring the Barossa Valley or the Adelaide Hills via the Mount Lofty Ranges and is less than five minutes’ drive from local services and the historic town of Gawler. (Yes, pizza delivery is possible!) The surrounding country consists of the northern foothills as well as the Adelaide fresh produce food bowl and further north, the farming districts of South Australia's mid north.
Come and explore Uleybury - with its rolling hills, expansive views, stunning sunsets, native birds and wildlife, peace and tranquillity. (and the horses, of course!)
